Statue of Unity – World’s Tallest Statue in India

Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was a vital voice within the country's
freedom struggle.
However, his real work began after independence. When British
rule was over in India, this politician persuaded many states and colonial
areas together to bring the whole country together (together with force to use
methods) to connect India together. Patel worked with many kings and royal
heirs of different states with determination and allowed them to leave the
autocratic power on their land.
This large
statue is made of bronze sheets and is used for approximately 25,000 tonnes of
steel. Between this quantity of steel, local farmers dedicate approximately
5000 tons of total steel by giving their old and unused farming equipment. The
statue was used on about 210,000 m of concrete. This idol is equal to the
concrete used for the base. The total cost of the statue is 400 million
dollars.
Features of Statue of Unity
Within a
week of inauguration, more than 1.28 lakh tourists visited this statue. It took
about three and a half years to build this statue. 3000 workers, including 300
engineers, were fully involved in the construction process.
The statue
has a viewing gallery at a height of 153 meters from the ground. The gallery
can catch up to 200 tourists at any time. From the viewing gallery, you can see
a spectacular view of the Sardar Sarovar Dam. The whole statue has been divided
into three areas.
Zone 1: This
is the first level of the statue. Includes a mezzanine floor, an exhibit floor
and terrace. It holds a memorial park and a museum.
Zone 2: It
is part of the statue from ground to thigh.
Zone 3: It
is part of the idol, which stretches to the viewing gallery.
Zone 4: This
part of the statue covers the rest of the structure to the head. This area is
not open to tourists.
In the
evening, a thirty-minute laser show is organized every day. For those who are
ready to stay overnight, there is a three star hotel inside the complex.

The statue
is located in Gujarat about 100 kilometers from Vadodara. Located near Narmada
district, you need to reach Narmada district through any transport and then
reach the statue from there. Work is being done to link the statue directly to
the highway. Until then, you need to reach Narmada, first of all. The statue is
located in the dam. Once you reach the edge of the dam, then you can find
available ghats for the journey of the idol. The island on which the statue is
